Cosy, friendly and welcoming (the bar, not the landlord!), the Longham White Horse is a true country inn where you can enjoy a selection of cask ales served from the barrel, keg beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Our cask ales change frequently (see right for current selections),
and we have a wide range of keg beers. Our selection of spirits include a range
of malt whiskys, and if you're driving, we have some interesting non-alcoholic
fruit drinks for you to try.
For a quick bite, try our bar menu, or for something more substantial, view details of our al a carte restaurants which offer a wide menu with constantly changing chef's specials. And why not make the White Horse your base for exploring the beautiful Norfolk countryside - see the accommodation section.

Axe the Beer Tax CampaignPubs play a vital role in communities across Britain, and are a unique part of our country’s heritage. Together, the pub and brewing industry helps contribute approximately £28 billion per annum to the UK economy. Yet Britain’s brewing and pub sector is experiencing one of the most severe and sustained periods of pressure on record.
The number of pubs closing each week has risen dramatically. In 2005, an average of two pubs a week were shutting down. Today it is 36 – equivalent to five pub closures every day.
Today, a customer buying a pint of beer for £2.50 pays 80p in tax. This is one of the highest tax rates in the world - and means that the Government now makes 50 times the brewer’s profit on each pint sold. In the 2008 Budget, the Chancellor not only imposed a duty rise of 9 per cent but also proposed the creation of an alcohol duty escalator. This is designed to increase duty on beer by 2 per cent above the rate of inflation in each of the next four years.
Your help is needed to stop this threat to that most British of social institutions - the pub.
